About you and the role
The Mixologist is responsible for delivering an exceptional, refined beverage experience aligned with the standards of a 5-star luxury hotel. This role combines advanced mixology skills, creativity, product knowledge, and polished guest interaction to create memorable moments for guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide warm, professional, and personalised service to all guests at the bar and lounge areas.
- Engage guests with confidence, explaining cocktail concepts, ingredients, and pairing recommendations.
- Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations in line with 5-star service standards.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with discretion, professionalism, and efficiency.
- Prepare classic, contemporary, and signature cocktails to the highest standard of consistency and presentation.
- Develop innovative cocktail menus aligned with the hotel’s brand, seasonality, and current trends.
- Ensure accurate measurement, balance, and flavor profiling in all beverages.
- Maintain deep knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, mixers, garnishes, and non-alcoholic alternatives.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing bar at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and alcohol licensing regulations.
- Control wastage, portioning, and stock usage to meet cost targets.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory counts, and ordering as required.
- Uphold the hotel’s luxury brand image through grooming, communication, and service delivery.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and service sequences.
- Ensure all cocktails and beverages are served consistently according to brand specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with bartenders, servers, and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior bar staff when required.
- Participate in ongoing training, tastings, and product knowledge sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Mixologist or Senior Bartender in a luxury hotel or high-end cocktail bar
Proven knowledge of classic and modern cocktails
Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage
Desirable
Certification in Mixology, Bartending, or Spirits (WSET, BarSmarts, or equivalent)
Experience in menu creation and cocktail costing
Knowledge of global spirits, craft cocktails, and premium products
